Sabres Forward Tim Connolly skated with his teammates Monday, but all indications are he won't be ready to return to the line-up in time for Wednesday night's home game against Tampa Bay.

Connolly missed both games over the weekend due to pain from a bonespur in his hip. Connolly said he still felt as if he were a ways from playing in a game given the discomfort during Monday's workout.

Forward Adam Mair missed practice Monday to rest an injured knee according the Lindy Ruff.

The Sabres posted back to back wins over the weekend and currently sit just a point behind the Philadelphia Flyers for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with just nine games to play in the regular season.

Lindy may also not want to tinker with a lineup that scored 13 goals in 2 games without him, if you read the Buffalo news article about it:

Is Connolly a huge pussy or something? You would think that someone like him, in the position he is in, could suck up some pain for 3 hours 2-3 times per week.

Sit him for the rest of the regular season..........bring him back if we make the playoffs

The only thing Connolly has proven any worth with is running a power play, and even that is questionable. I wasn't in favor of bringing him back after all the concussion mess, I'm even less in favor of it now. The guy simply cannot stay healthy, it's just as easy as that.

He has monster games against a few teams and then sucks, sit him until the playoffs.

Tim Connolly is as bad a Dmitiri Kahlinin, and his money thay he uses up on the cap could have been used to sign the plethra of players who have walked out the door in the last 3 yrs, i would have rather signed JP DUmont, for less money than brought back this giant injury prone useless pussy

Well if Connolly will help us get into the playoffs, then he needs to play. We can't afford to sit him and then let him play in the playoffs, if we make it. I would rather have him now, and get into the playoffs, since when they start, anything can happen. Our team right now doesn't have the heart nor luxury to sit an important piece and still make the playoffs.

Sit him until the playoffs.. lol you guys are idiots.

The man is the best play making forward on this team and a powerplay NEED.

I agree about not sitting him until the playoffs.
