Re: Bills Resign Bryan Scott per Vtext...
A safety signed to fill roles left vacant by injured players last season left a good impression on Buffalo's coaching staff as the team re-signed Bryan Scott on Tuesday.
"I was hoping I was back this year," said Scott. "I've made some lifelong friendships in a really short amount of time. I really like this organization and the coaches."

Scott has good size and speed to the safety position and come coverage ability since he can play some cornerback. He is good depth and when he starts, he'll give you a competent game. He's not a big time playmaker.I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

Scott is a quality back-up who has been a decent--not great, not outstanding--starter in the league. He give the Bills some flexibility in their defensive backfield that could help to make their pass defense better.
It will be interesting to see how P.Fewell employs Scott now that he is more familiar with him and Scott will have a full preseason to work with the team. Scott may not have the knack for generating turnovers that McCree has, but he is solid and will generate some, depending on how much playing time he gets.
I've liked him for awhile (going back to his Atlanta days) and I like the signing.
With Scott and James, the Bills have a bit of quality depth in the secondary. Now, if they can get James Hall on board, they will be set enough on defense to give any rookies that they bring in on that side of the ball time to develop without being pressed into service before they are ready. Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. And, thus it was that they surrendered their freedom; not with a bang, but without even a whimper.
