All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
TE hasn't been addressed- we just replaced benchwarmers with more benchwarmers.
We still haven't done anything to improve an horrendous offense- that's a huge concern. If the season started today, I think it would go a lot like the portions of last year- an O that doesn't score, and a D that's solid until they break late in games because the O can't keep them off the field.

Compared to Royal and Gaines, its been slightley addressed. We get one in the draft we get one in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th, and then have a 3 way battle with Royal, Anderson, and Johnson to see who makes the roster.
Fowler has a bum rap here, and it bothers me. NO ONE on our line got a push last year in short yardage situations, even our highly coveted LT Peters. Predictibility and this stupid zone blocking scheme is the reason we couldnt run last year(i know, everybody runs it now). Im having trouble remembering a single time when Fowler screwed up a blocking assignment when being blitzed (remember Teague).
a zone block requires the running back to read the blocks in front of him and choose the best crease to enter. In theory this allows the offensive lineman to block the defensive linemen in whatever direction is most convenient, assuming a hole will be available somewhere.
He, much like my mother, is better than Trey Teague!
Seriously though, they could also sign a guard and move Butler (the most improved Bill last year, imo) over to center. Center is the weak position on the line.
Fowler is the best Center this team has had in well over a decade, and fingering him as the reason we couldnt run last year isnt fair.
he's part of the problem- no one said he was the whole problem.
And like Lecter said- being the best Bills center in the last decade isn't exactly an accomplishment. It's like being the smartest window-licker on the short bus.
Im not gonna sit and and tell you guys Fowler has a probowl in his future, clearly he isnt an elite talent. But he is a very servicable role player that make few mistakes for a reasonable paycheck.
I have 3rd tackle listed waaaaaaaaaaay ahead Center as a priority on this team, we are one play away from Kirk Chambers starting 16 games at LT for us next year.
