All this talk about him being cut this week. Ryan must have been hearing it because he made some plays tonight.

Hey at least he was close enough to the passer to get a penalty!
And what was that call anyway. Roughing the passer by going for the legs? What the heck did Johnny Grier mean by that? Are they not allowed to tackle QB's by the legs now?

That penalty was called on him but it was actually Schoebel.

He had some good plays and definitely indicated that there may be some promise. But along w/ the rest of the DL, were largely ineffective for most of the game.

Manning would have had another 100 passing yards in the first half if his tosses were even remotely accurate. He missed a bunch. Maybe he's hurt or not completely healthy. He didn't seem himself. Or maybe it was the Dolts lack of a running game to balance.

that's ok with me Wys...;)
i thought Denney did well...but not well enough to ease my concerns with the defense as a whole.

One thing about Manning's play made me feel a little bit more positive about our defense yesterday. Even though we were probably running a very basic version of our defense, Manning and the other Colts QB's still had to blow a ton of timeouts at unusual times of the game because they couldn't get the play they wanted in there. On the road, I think this speaks well of Jerry Gray's play-calling when he stymies one of the more intelligent QB's like that.
Doesn't say much for the players on our D though, except perhaps London Fletcher for making the adjustments as the Colts came to the line.

Some people have said that was a "coverage sack" but at least he got it.
