All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Buffalo signed Courtney Anderson in free agency, but look for another tight end to be added to the roster in the draft. Notre Dame's John Carlson will work out for the Bills, a league source said.
I think there are far better TEs to be had in the first 3 rounds. Carlson, while a solid all around player, just doesn't seem like the fast, athletic stretch-the-field guy that we need.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

I think they used a sun dial at the combine to measure his forty time.

Carlson's 40 time was slow at the combine because he had the flu and lost 17 pounds before the event.
He ran considerably better at his Pro Day the other day, timing at 4.67 and 4.72. His performance was a lot better and he probably elevated his stock back up to the 2nd round.
Considering the lack of good TE in the draft, he will go pretty high.

I was under the impression that this was a TE-rich draft, with as many 10 pretty good ones in the mix.

His stock is rising, you'll see him go pretty high.

I agree...I would much rather draft Rucker,Cottam,Davis,Bennett or Finley.
Carlson is too stiff in the hips for me... Not as Big as Cottam....

Agreed. I would add Keller to your list, and possibly Stevens and K. Davis.
