This is a team we've pushed around for most of the season. They gave up all kinds of opportunities and we did nothing with them. Same old story- no leadership, no consistent scorers.

Gig is up, Washington is going to win their game, Philly won their game, we're being leaped over, this game was huge, and the Sabres didn't even show up. This season, this team, is done. Hope you all have nice vacations planned for the next few weeks because you won't be watching Sabres hockey.

This team is just not mentally strong enough. Too many mental midgets are on this team and it shows in big games. They should never lose against a pathetic team like Toronto on home ice. Very embarrassing effort.Comment

I just got home. It was more capitalizing than effort. They could not beat Toskula. He was standing on his head and when they had him beat, the shot was blocked.

There arent to many times you can blame it on effort. This is not one of them. From what I saw tonight they made some bad choices on wether to shoot or pass other then that I thought Toronto blocked a lot of shots and Toskala played very well.

No they are not. They are struggling to make the playoffs. They are contending just fine. 3 behind Boston with 2 games left against them.
Struggling to contend is Toronto or teams 5 + points behind.
There is no reasonable way to say they are struggling to contend.
