Do you think your amazingly strong showing is due to the strength of the candidates ??

what do your children think about you running in an internet election? for candidates such as bedard, playa, and freeman this cyber contest may be their only shot at being able to pass on their legacy in life. do your children look at you in abandonment and confusion?

You're already an admin, why run with playa?

Since you are an admin, this smells like one giant fix.

Do you think your amazingly strong showing is due to the strength of the candidates ??Excellent question. It's too early to say we have a strong showing as the polls are open for a couple more days. Many other voters will be viewing all the debate replies before making a decision. This will be closer than the intitial polls indicate.

You're already an admin, what's the difference? As veep of the Zone, I will work with all the staff to instill Playa's promises. Being an Admin does not sway things one way or the other. It does give me the ability to implement some things wothout having to go through the loopholes all though any and ALL changes will need to be decided by all staff having their say in the aforementioned changes.

WTF have you ever done to make things better?

You're already an admin, why run with playa?

Since you are an admin, this smells like one giant fix.I have done several things here at the Zone to make things better. Our Zone originals now reach an international audience thanks to a partnership I developed with News Now, a global news gathering feed in which Zone originals get a prominant place. I have recruited several regular posters and added them to our writing staff, LifeTimeBillsFan to name one. I currently take great threads and post them as Zone originals with the permission of the author of course. The Buffalo Forum and NFL forum are my creations thanks to the suggestions of posters like you. That said not all decisions are made on my own. We are a team here at the Zone and every staff member has a say prior to creating forums or adding new staff etc. And these are only a few of the more recent changes I have been behind.

Playa brings a new freshness to the Zone. His forward thinking is something I am willing to work with. He adds a certain flare to every corner of the Zone. Besides I can live vicariously through him and not get in trouble.

As for the "Giant Fix" comment, I am unable to do anything that an Admin can do to sway the vote. I will not edit polls, threads or posts to our advantage. This is a fair campaign and not one team is doing anything sneaky or underhanded to sway the vote.

Don't you feel that a Presidential ticket is better served to be completely free of Zone staff, in order to better promote independence of said ticket?Another great question. Playa felt my experience at the Zone would help him in his quest to make the Zone a better place. Having someone on the "inside" would cut through the beauracratic red tape that ties things up in other administrations. We can fast track our ideas. We would still have to listen to all staff before letting them implement changes and it would be their decision, not mine. When pushing our agenda forward, I promise to take my Admin hat off and wear the Veep hat with pride.

Isn't that kind of like saying that you would have thrown up a bunch of beuracratic red tape to anybody else you're not running with? Otherwise he'd have nothing he needed to cut through by having you...

I dont believe so.

I believe he's simply saying hes in a position to help make things happen. While almost all zone changes are voted upon or discussed in the staff area, and that would be no different, here I think hes simply saying that by being apart of this and discussing playas ideas he can help not only implement them but to better help prepare them for presentation to others as he obviously knows almost better then anyone how things are structured behind the scenes.

I wouldnt attempt to read more into it then there really is. Hes simply saying hes in a position to help.

Point being, if he's already in that position of power, shouldn't that be the case for anybody that wins, not just Playa?

As Ive maintained all along the advantage to our ticket is that Playa is already well versed in the issues with zone and potential solutions that we have thought up and he has the ear of his VP on his new ideas. That's not to say NBF if we werent to win would be completely unhelpful, however as we have seen some ideas by some candidates have been tried elsewhere and have failed or have been previously discussed by the staff and voted down. That's what Ive been saying since Day 1 as to why having NBF, and Devin on staff is such a huge upgrade for our ticket because we know the issues still around and the ideas we have but also adding in Playa's new ideas would be awesome too, because they are so fresh because he knows whats been tried and what hasnt. That's not say any other President wouldnt be welcome to the staff, just simply stating why Playa has the inside edge.

Feel free to ask me any question as the running mate of Playa's platform.

As the running mate of Playa's platform I want to know two things:

1. Why is bedard/freeman so much more awesome than my platform?
2. What do you intend to do about zone grammar and the unintended consequences of its misuse?

Is bedard/freeman more awesome than your platform??? These words confuse me. It looks like you are running with a statement like that.

Secondly, we can not go around being grammar police to the entire Zone. The thing that makes our community unique is the wide variety of membership from all walks of life and levels of education. If we were to start policing grammar, people may be offended that we are acting above them and they may decide to move to another site.

Thanks for taking the time (when you wake up) to answer my awesome question. That's a very good question. Trolls are an internet phenomena that bewillder people to this day. Why do they troll in the first place? What do they expect to gain? No one really understands why they do what they do. It would be our stance to deal with them as expediantly as possible. We would think about instilling a policy to limit them to 5 posts per day for a certain period of time, call it a probation of sorts. If they continue to troll after the limit was lifted, they would face immediate expulsion from the Zone.

I got ripped for suggesting a probation of some sort for new members. This policy would not cover new members but those that present themselves as trolls. You can usually tell who is going to be a troll within the first few days. And this policy would need to be approved by the staff at teh Zone prior to being implemented.

Trolls generally leave after a couple of days of hitting the message boards. I have signed up for boards that had a no posting policy of 1-3 days and they didn't seem to have problems, because Trolls and Spammers don't have the patience to wait out 1 day.
