I'm just starting to follow the election proceedings, so excuse me if I say something irrelevant or that's already been discussed. Why are the polls in the primaries public?

To avoid further issues with voter fraud... people using aliases to vote multiple times, etc...

To ensure that nobody votes multiple times with multiple alias.

Can't that happen anyway?

Yes, but if it does and somebody's name comes up that is suspect, it can be checked... it happened in the first primary vote we already held.

Exactly and if its determined to be an alias then the vote is immediately removed from the total.

Thanks guys. I'm reading this thread now (http://www.billszone.com/fanzone/showthread.php?t=149199&page=2) and it's becoming clear to me. Still, though, I think it would be better if an admin or mod tallied the results behind the scenes and vetted the votes without displaying them to the whole zone. I guess there are advantages both ways.

I'm going to read those debates now.

Technically yes but due to staff working on the campaigns we thought full disclosure is better and we are all adults here and I dont think anybody is going to hold a grudge for not voting for them in an internet election.

Based on the little I've seen so far, I'd say you're an optimist with that statement! It's gotten pretty realistic pretty fast.

I usually stay home and watch. After the Bills pick I get anywhere between 1 and 5 phone calls in the next ten minutes.

No you will both have your draft guides open and the BZ booted up so we can all chat and make fun of other teams bad picks.

I usually watch the first two minutes, get a headache, argue with someone over who the Bills are going to pick, find out who they pick, argue that it was a good pick, and follow up with the draft when its finished.

Exactly...Skooby being elected president is way more effective than rooting for a meteor. But I'm with all ya'll....I can't wait for the freaking draft. It's so relaxing.
