    Palmer, Newman visit Bengals

    CINCINNATI (April 13, 2003 6:15 p.m. EDT) - Quarterback Carson Palmer and cornerback Terence Newman spent time Sunday with the Cincinnati Bengals, who have the first pick in the draft and are trying to keep their plans secret.

    Palmer and Newman attended minicamp meetings with players and watched two workouts, chatting with owner Mike Brown as new coach Marvin Lewis supervised drills.

    Lewis had team employees escort them across a street that separates the practice field from Paul Brown Stadium, cutting off questions from reporters. The players were told that Lewis didn't want them giving interviews.
