All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

I think it's pretty obvious that Thibault hasn't worked out this year and will be allowed to walk this summer.
We all agree that we need a solid #2 so that Miller can get his rest and be fresh in the spring. Plus if there is a real solid #2 maybe Miller will be a little more motivated to play in some of these games.
Ty Conklin has tought me that goalies are a crapshoot for the most part. They are prone to dazzle or implode in any given season with a few exceptions.
Johna Enroth or Adam Dennis, lets develop one from the farm, we dont need another vet bum
Here is what I worry about in that situation.
I've seen Dennis play in the OHL and he was great but I haven't seen him in AHL yet.
Is he NHL ready? Will it hurt his development to sit on the bench behind Miller and only play a few games as opposed to playing the majority in Rochester?
I'm all for letting him be the back up if he is ready. I just don't want to see him struggle and all of a sudden it's all on Miller's shoulders again next season.

Dennis has been benched so many times in Rochester. He's a big part of the reason why the Amerks have been so lousy. He sucks!
That surprises me. When he played for London I saw him multiple times in Erie and the Knights were unstoppable. If that is the case than a vet goaltender is a definite need. I personally want someone that will seriously push Miller to be great.
Conklin leads the league in save % doesnt he? I doubt Pittsburgh would be willing to let him go.
Sucks he couldnt find his prime last year!! lol
“You hold a players only meeting and get each guy to stand up and say what he can bring to the table... and if he doesn't, you punch him in the face.” ~~ Harry Neale, on how to fix the Sabres season.
Some goalies need work to stay on top of their game...in fairness to T-bo we have no clue if he could be a sufficient back up. That being said I think it is more important not to play Miller more than 60 games next year.
For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.
