lets say that we get into this years draft and the bills DONT select a WR with their first round pick.. say they go DE, DT, or CB.. i really hope CB isnt the pick, but regardless.

Say Kelly or Hardy falls to the second round. Would you trade next years first rounder to get an early second rounder and grab one of those WRs that might slip? or are you comfortable enough with the depth at WR that you would just stay put?

how about this.. what wrs, or hell, any player you love, would need to be there at the top of the 2nd round for you to trade next years first rounder?

for me, i would do it for kelly, hardy, maybe even keller.

i look at it this way.. we are just a few really good players away from being a playoff team. if we grab the player a year ahead of time, then he can contribute to this years team, making the first rounder next year even lower... when next years draft comes along, instead of worring about who we are going to pick, we already have a stud that we like, who now has a year of experience.

i really think this could be a possibility, because the bills have shown that they are not afraid to do it in the past.

The last time we pulled that maneuver we set the franchise back 5 years.

Kelly, Sweed, DRC. I would trade next years first for them right now. Probably even Hardy or Thomas. And. maybe even one or two other CBs. Oh, and of course any of the top 10 prospects.

For one thing, you don't trade your next year's 1st rounder to get up to the top of 2nd round. We traded up to get Poz last year and still kept our 1st this year.
