Buffalo Bills Team Needs per KFFL

    Quarterback
Second-year quarterback Trent Edwards appears to have the starting role within his grasp, but there are a handful of question marks that linger around the position. The Bills are not expected to grant former starter J.P. Losman's request to be traded. If that is indeed the case, is Losman going to accept backing Edwards up, or will he become a cancer in the locker room? Are the Bills completely sold on Edwards' ability to throw the ball in sub-par weather conditions? Early indications are the team will go with Edwards for the near future and keep Losman in the backup role for the 2008 season.

    Wide Receiver
One of the most glaring needs the Bills face heading into the draft is addressing the lack of size at the wide receiver position. Many have speculated that the Bills are targeting the likes of Oklahoma's Malcolm Kelly, who at 6-foot-4, 224 pounds, stands roughly five inches taller than any of the Bills' current starting receivers. They could also go another direction in the first round and wait until the second round or later to address the receiver position.

    Tight End
Lack of production at the tight end position has been a problem that has long troubled the Bills. They signed 6-foot-6, 270-pound free-agent Courtney Anderson, but they may continue perusing the market or further addressing the need in the draft. Anderson has been considered to be an underachiever of sorts, so his signing doesn't exactly spell the end to the position's need for an immediate impact player.

    Defensive End
The team struggled to pressure the quarterback last season (26 sacks - 29th in the NFL) and could look to add a situational pass rusher in the middle rounds.

    Cornerback
Riddled by injuries and the loss of Pro Bowl cornerback Nate Clements last season, the Bills did what the could with what they had at the cornerback position. A year later, however, they'd love to get their hands on another lockdown corner to compliment Terrence McGee. While it might be tough to pass on a stud wide receiver with the No. 11 pick in this year's draft, cornerback is another pressing need on their wish list. Were Troy's Leodis McKelvin or Tennessee State's Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie to still be on the board the team could go corner in Round 1.

I saw on ESPN's bottom line earlier today 4/1 that Mel "don't touch the hair" Kiper had us taking the DE from Miami.
