Say goodbye to management ever spending money on players in the future, here it goes now...

UB prof sues Sabres over injuries from falling Plexiglas

A prominent local English professor and arts critic is suing the Buffalo Sabres over injuries he suffered during a playoff game last year when a collision between two players sent a section of Plexiglas crashing on top on him.

Bruce Jackson, a longtime professor at the University at Buffalo and denizen of the local arts scene, filed suit against the professional hockey team Wednesday in State Supreme Court.

dosent it say on the back of the ticket that you can get hurt. and by showing up to the game using the ticket you accept that risk and cant do nothing about it?

Yes it does it says that on all tickets. There was a big stink here in columbus after that little girl died here at the arena after she was struck by the puck. Lawyers tried to sue the arena but because of the liability warning on the back of the ticket nothing happened.

Now someone came out and said they would do something for the family. Not sure what happened about it. The family wanted it's privacy and the officals at nationwide complied. I'm sure something was done for the family though.

But this guy is just looking to make some money off the sabres. If his injuries were so bad why didn't he file suit closer to when it happened? This is what annoys me people are just looking to make a quick buck when something happens to them.

Someone with such a higher intelligence/education should know better than to contribute to the downfall of society with frivolous lawsuits. Oh wait, UB - that explains it.
