The more I watch this guy play this preseason, the more I'm convinced he's got a spot on this team. He had another good return last night, setting the Bills up around the 30 or so, and did rather well on coverage. Like most of our RB's, his only good run got called back by holding, but I'm pretty sure that special teams alone is going to earn this guy a spot.

I agree. I was thinking he'd be cut but, based on the preseason, I see Henry, Bryson, and Morris as our RB corps again....with possibly Joe Burns on the practice squad? He looked pretty good last wek.

I bet he can play DL. He makes plays when he's on the field it's worth a shot.

An advantage he has going for him is I heard somewhere that Gilbride loves him. (Not romatically) :-)

He's a good player. I dunno why Sheppard disliked him so

And he is definitely NOT Bam's brother!

Isn't he the Special Teams captain anyway? Why would we cut our special teams captain?

Just a little more time and Morris could be what Tasker was to the bills.....well not really but close. He was our leading tackler last year for ST. Even if Bryson or Henry were to start at RB, Morris seems more versatile that the two. Cut that Steeler reject, Huntly and the others.

jeff I have been saying that all along but he doesn't get the chance and people are too quick to declare him a special teams player. Two years ago we sucked so bad on the ground it was a joke...Sammy went in there and pounded us in some TD's that really saved us from disgrace as far as I am concerned. Perhaps Henry has more potential as a workhorse back and should be on the field...but don't throw Sammy aside he's produced and plays hard.
