Axe likely to come down on McCutcheon

WGRZ's Ed Kilgore reported on the sports tonight that two sources have said that after Saturday night's game against Boston Lindy will fire assistant Brian McCutcheon and James Patrick will move into McCutcheon's spot. McCutcheon worked with the Defenceman last year and this year, and will sign and promote Americans head coach Randy Cunneyworth to take James Patrick's spot behind the bench. Cunneyworth will run the Power Play. Cunneyworth was drafted by the Sabres in the 8th round of the 1980 draft. This makes sense Cunneyworth coached the young players from Rochester that are on this team. James Patrick was a defenceman so he knows defence drills and he could work with the defence which was struggling these past two years.

It's about time somebody on the coaching staff gets the axe.
