I like Flowers game. Love to get him in the 3rd. Don't know if he would last that long though.

There seem to be mixed reviews on Flowers.

Some think that what he lacks in size, he makes up for in lack of speed.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Yea I read that too and I think its an interesting twist on reality given what he ran at the Combine. Which was 4.55 he only had a 30" vertical and with his 5'9 height he's going to be severly over matched, he only managed a bad 14 reps at the Bench Press. This guy was a play maker at VT but I dont think its going to translate at all.

i can say that flowers definately plays faster than he is going to clock. he is not slow. he does have a knack for being around the ball.

i am always hesitant to give virginia tech guys a glowing endorsement because being able to watch all their games, you definately see the good and the bad... but flowers is a good player who rarely got beat in college and he plays faster and aggressive. he is small but he is excellent at staying on someones hip. he will probably be a good slot cb in the nickle

I know he plays faster than timed and I agree I think he could be a decent slot CB but I dont see any way that he game will translate well to the pros given his size limitations and lack of athleticism. I mean at 5'9 you need to be jumping at least 35" to contend with WR even 6'0, let alone those 6'2-6'4. He only jumped 30" so he is a huge liability on any jump balls.

CB should be addressed in rd 3 or with an extra pick in rd 4, dont foget Greer was a UDFA and McGee was a 4th rounder

                              So do I.

Flowers is a combine casualty, but instincts and experience can count for an inch or so, and a tenth of a second in the 40.
