Depending on how successful Montreal is in this playoff run and next year they could be spending some big money. As of now, to start the 2090/10 season the Habs have only 4 players signed (Markov and Hamerlik, Price, Kostitsyn). They account for $12.5 million. Much of the team is young and are RFAs. That's a lot of cash to spend and a lot of players to sign. It will be interesting.

Price is going to get a ton of money thrown at him, even if he isn't completely proven just yet. I think he has done enough and Montreal obviously feels the same way seeing that they traded away Huet. -

They should go ask Darcy how well it works not getting long term contracts done ahead of time and waiting until the end of the contract.Comment
