Since Burress helped win the Super Bowl with is awesome jump ball ability in the endzone, I thought it would be interesting to compare Burress' college production with Kelly's and Hardy's production, as theyre all built about the same.

Physical Stats:

Burress - 6'5" 229lbs.
Kelly - 6' 4" 214lbs.
Hardy - 6'7" 220lbs.

Best college season:

Burress - 66 receptions for 1,142 yards (17.3 avg) and 12 touchdowns
Kelly - 49 receptions for 993 yards and 10 touchdowns
Hardy - 79 receptions for 1,125 yards (14.2 avg) and 16 touchdowns

One interesting thing to note...Burress for as good as he is, didn't do much in his first year in the NFL.

Here is his first year:

He played in 12 games, 22 catches for 273 yards (12.4 avg) and 0 TD's

Just some food for thought and caution to those that think that whatever WR we draft will our offense will be all of a sudden respectable...

Honeslty I think it's hard to figure out which WR should go first...which is why I think we get a CB first and draft a guy like Sweed or Hardy in the 2nd...or trade down and get better value for a WR... Also it seems like mock drafts and other news is pointing away from WR and now pointing to DE or CB with our #1...

One difference between Hardy and Kelly is character.

Kelly is considered a high-character player who anyone would like on his team.

Hardy was arrested for smacking around his girlfriend (the mother of his son). The charges were dropped after he completed a pre-trial diversion program, which is a common way programs keep athletes out of jail and eligible to play.

Hardy was also suspended from the team for a few weeks in 2006, reportedly due to a poor attitude in practice and meetings.

I would be very disappointed if we didn't get someone better than P. Buress if we use the 11th.

the guy averages over 1000 yds and nearly 10 td's a season, at least over the last few years. didnt realize hes been in the league so long but he has had some very good years.

That's exactly what Im saying...if we're using the 11th pick in the draft to get a tall WR, he better turn out to be Burress-esque
