A not often mentioned need for this team.....

Long snapper. Ryan Neill did not get the job done last year. As much of as nuisance as it is to carry a guy for only that role, the Bills might have to consider it. Moorman missed Schneck and it showed. It is an import cag and if players like Stamer, Wire and Hagan (whom I would not mind re-signing) are not around a LS can have a roster spot.

I am not sure if anybody is available or if one can be signed as a UFA (or drafted at 251), but this is one area the Bills need to fix.

I couldn't believe they cut Schneck.

    Very dumb move.

I don't disagree, but at the same time they were very thin at DE with Hargrove, Denney and Al Wallace all out. It was a catch-22.

i agree. there were some FG that went through ok, but the snaps were questionable. and of course, the bad snap at the giants game pretty much gave the giants the momentum to come from behind and subsequently win the superbowl.

SoNeil didn't get it done. however, on the flip side you could say he was responsible for bringing down the pats dynasty. perhaps he should stay.

Excellent post, Lecter! I was thinking the same thing, we definitely missed Schneck. He made Moorman that much better.

Tim Bugg, Indiana. Best Long Snapper in the class, has never botched one in his 4 year career. We could probably get him as an UDFA, but if we want to make sure we bring him into camp, we could burn the 7th round comp.

Was just going to say that. PAINFUL. It's one of those things that you don't notice until it goes badly.
Wake up, brush your teeth, and get ready for a day of hating the Dolphins. Or the Pats? How to choose?

that was Neil's first year doing it, and he had what 2-3 bad snaps all year, and the cleveland one is one of them and that was weather more than anything

i am all for bringin in competition but Neil runs down on Punts and makes plays too, he is solid here and is only gonna get better, i think we are fine here and maybe bring in a UDFA to challenge him

Sure you can blame the weather, but a good long snapper would have been able to overcome that. Why didnt Cleveland have any bad snaps? Blame what you will, but for the most part, those bad snaps cost us the game, which cost us our season

If Neill isn't going to see the field at DE, why not go back to a specialist like Schneck, Dorenbos, Albright or Lingner?
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

And Michael Gaines dropping a TD pass. And Bryan Scott dropping two Ints. And Steve Fairchild.

It was ugly across the board.
