Need to see a big year from the bald eagle. He wasn't his usual MVP self last year. Although he was probably still the MVP.

Here's hoping Moorman isn't yet another player who gets lazy after a big contract.

I really think part of his problem was the long snapper.

Are we really talking about PUNTERS?

This is Buffalo Bills message baord and they do have a punter on the team.

I just don't see how any fan cannot have some level of optimism for the up-coming season.

The slew of injuries, the 'off' years from Schobel, Moorman, etc, the return of an offensive line that is stable and growing and on and on.

The only glaring need is a #2 WR, and we'll address that in that draft (although I have been one of the more vocal supporters of addressing that and TE in FA). Even others, such as Royal, Greer, Fowler, etc may be viewed as upgradable, they were still part of a team that finished 7-9 and not too far out of the play-offs.

I've seen only four Kelly threads. Let's pick it up, people.

You're surprised? Although i do agree I think we have players stepping up other than punters this past season...before that, yeah, Moorman was the only bright spot.

Are we really talking about PUNTERS?

We had the 30th ranked offense last year and so far we've improved it by adding.... no one.

As usual, the punter is going to be very important.

I would like to see us utilize his track speed on fake punt runs and passes a little more. He use to play running back, wouldn't it be great to see him line up on O and run a reverse or catch a screen?

The real question is, Malcomb < Moorman?

There is little doubt in my mind that Brian will return to his probowl form that we all know and love next year.

LOL

Let's run every good player out of town. No one is worthy of our own incredible standards.

He was very good up until December. You guys do remember how much worse the wind was this past December than in most years, right?

Yeah no **** right? First it's Schobel is an over rrated POS and now it's Moorman. Let's blast the only 2 constants stalwarts of our team. Some people are unbelievable.

Why not? It's by far one of the most important positions on the field.

WHo said moorman was overrated?

What I actually said was we need Moorman to be his usual kick ass self. It will help the defense tremendously.

Which in turn will help the offense.

Hope you're right too.

Punters/kickers in Buffalo always do better when the weather's nicer, granted. But I remember far more shanks and otherwise bad kicks than I'm used to from him.

Like I said, hopefully it was an abberration, due to whatever, and not because he got some serious money.

do you all remember the times when our offense and defense were good and we didn't know anyone on our ST? For the last 5-8 years, our only heroes' are on ST. What i would give to have an average ST unit and a stellar offense and defense.

That being said, moorman wasn't as consistent as he had been prior, but hte guy still played in the top 10 of punters and arguably within the top 5.

I really think part of his problem was the long snapper.

That was the biggest problem. He wasn't as great before Schneck, and then he became even more of a stud. Once Schneck was released (horrible move, IMO) then you could tell he wasn't comfortable with the snaps and seemed to be grabbing them and trying to place them right every time. LS would definitely be a priority for me at the end of the draft or FA after the draft. I don't like Neill at all, and he's a crappy DE too.

We should have kept the magic man. Or the Pro Bowler.

Which in turn will help the offense.
Which in turn will help the special teams. See, it's a vicious cycle.
