Pro: Will play his heart out for the team

Con: Age may slow him down

Pro: I think Gash fits in a Gilbride offense better than Centers / JR. He'll play more of an H-Back type than a true FB. Hopefully he can pick up the blitzers up the middle, since teams exposed that weakness towards the end of last year. He can catch the ball too.

Con: Has he slowed down to the point of it being noticable, like Ingtar says?

Age won't matter for him. He'll be in great shape after GW's off-season workout plan. Plus, he'll be splitting time with Crosby.

any cons other than age? I'm glad this guy is back- it will add some creativity to the blocking scheme and give Bledsoe one more place to throw the ball. I can't wait to see him flatten Zach Thomas a few times.

I don't remember the exact quote, but Gash once said in an interview that he's a lineman who gets a four step running start. That's the kind of mentality we need.
