that would be pretty amazing to be honest. in that exact scenario, i could live with a CB with the 1st pick.

Excellent... Even though I'm not a fan of CB round 1.

1) I would like to squeeze in ILB Ben Moffitt.
2) If we take a QB in round 4, it would spell the end for Hamden. Even if JP is traded, we'd still grab a vet back-up. There's no way we'd keep 4 QB's and no way we'd cut a 4th rounder.

who cares about hamden. honestly.

Moffit could go in place of Monk likely, but I think Hamden is crap and I think Johnson's ceiling is high that for us to pass on him in Rd 4 would be dumb.

I like the Pat Sims pick if we can land Rucker in the 4th but with so many teams needing a TE I doubt any of the top TEs will be available after the 3rd. Especially considering compensatory picks.

I would also like DE dealt with earlier in the draft.

Josh Johnson pick is cool. You know if Edwards falters at all Bills fans will be all over him.

I think Tommy Blake could be a starting DE by mid season if his head is on straight. He has top 20 talent.

I like all the picks but the 4th rounder i think we need to go FB there, and get a QB as a UDFA, unless we trade JP, then i would think this is a great draft but replace one of the 7th rounders with a FB, maybe the G

Whats the point of getting a FB exactly? Barnes is a former NFL starter and the best blocking FB Micheal Cox may not even be drafted.

1. DRC CB :check:
2. Malcolm Kelly WR :check:
3. Pat Sims DT ( I personally think he is gone by the time we pick here.. Would prefer the best DE available here.)
4. Martin Rucker TE :check: ( Rucker is awesome! Kellen Davis would be nice here as well. )
4. Josh Johnson QB ( I don't understand this pick.. We already have Losman and Trent, why crowd the QB position even further? )
5. Marcus Monk WR :check:
6. Tommy Blake DE :check:
7. Jordan Grimes OG :check:
7. Fernando Velasco OC
7. Vincent Redd LB

I never heard of the last 2 guys, but I liked most of the other picks. I'd prefer a DE in the 3rd if your 1st 2 picks played out as they did, however, if a guy like Sims is available in the 3rd there is no way you could pass him up, regardless of need. I know alot of people here like Josh Johnson, but I think spending a 4th rounder on a QB when we have more pressing needs is silly.

DB,

Nice Mock. If we went with the 2 wideout theory, what about Keenan Burton or perhaps Steve Johnson?

As an addendum, I would also ask for UDFA Robert Jordan, Cal - that way we have "Family First" in Buffalo!

I like both those receivers.... they produced pretty nicely with Woodson this year. That offense was exciting to watch.

Burton is more of a deep route runner and Im not sure how much more he would add to the offense.

Johnson is interesting prospect who got a lot of name recognition for the big plays he made in the big games, and he produced Im just not sold on him.

I was thinking in the case of Burton of when we run those "mirror" routes with the outside guys and let the underneath guy get the clean up yards.

What about Jordan? If we have Lynch and his cousins, we've pretty much guaranteed a "family first" TD sign at every level - until they have a TE!
