They've been doing these on NFL Radio... I'd like to try one. If anyone is interested, post their pick for #1 below... it is a two man simulation, so I just need one volunteer. We'll go through fairly quickly. We alternate picks, I'll take evens, someone else can take odds. Once you pick for #1, I'll pick for #2, then you are up for #3. Here is the draft order:

1. Miami
2. St. Louis
3. Atlanta
4. Oakland
5. Kansas City
6. New York Jets
7. New England (from San Francisco)
8. Baltimore
9. Cincinnati
10. New Orleans
11. Buffalo
12. Denver
13. Carolina
14. Chicago
15. Detroit
16. Arizona
17. Minnesota
18. Houston
19. Philadelphia
20. Tampa Bay
21. Washington
22. Dallas (from Cleveland)
23. Pittsburgh
24. Tennessee
25. Seattle
26. Jacksonville
27. San Diego
28. Dallas
29. San Francisco (from Indianapolis)
30. Green Bay
* New England (pick forfeited)
31. New York Giants

#6 Darren McFadden. I see a trade here, too... I'll say with the Cowboys, but even without it I'll say he's the pick.

Long went #2... try someone else, Fever. Although admittedly, I'd love to see the Pats submit a pick for someone who was already taken!

#12 Ryan Clady

#13 Chris Williams ( Almost went RB here because DeAngelo Williams couldn't even beat out DeShaun Foster. However, their OL needs more help and chances are that they can find a nice RB later in the draft. )

#15 Derrick Harvey ( Shaun Rogers lead the Lions with 6 sacks last season and he was recently traded away to Cleveland.. Derrick Harvey could immediately help the Lions with their pass rush. )

Good pick at #15... I figured you'd go Mendenhall though

#16 Mike Jenkins

Yeah, I gave DE a slight edge because Marinelli is a DL type of guy.

#20 Malcolm Kelly

I thought about Sweed, but I think Gruden will gamble on Kelly, even with all the neg. rep. he's been getting lately.

#22 Aqib Talib

I wanted to go Stewart, especially if they stay put and don't trade up for McFadden, but Talib was the best CB left on the board by far.

Great pick, thought you would have went Stewart for sure.

Ok, every draft has a surprise pick and I think Gosder Cherilus might be that guy this year. They really need help on the OL, Cherilus immediately comes in and starts at RT for them.

#23 Gosder Cherilus ( Almost went Kentwan Balmer here but my gut is telling me Cherilus.. )

#27 DeSean Jackson ( The Chargers are loaded with talent, I could see them going in multiple directions here. This would be a great situation for Jackson, he would be great lined up in the slot for them, plus he would bring an added bonus to their return game. )

#28 Felix Jones

The real reason JJ didn't trade up... he saw another fellow Razorback worth waiting for...

#29 Dan Connor

This pick was a no-brainer for me, pair Connor up with Willis in the middle and all of a sudden the 49ers defense just got alot scarier.

I think as far as player ratings go we are going to be pretty accurate but trades are really going to alter this draft. Buffalo is in a GREAT position to trade down. Albert, Harvey and Clady are all worth trading up for.

Not too bad. If this is proof of anything, it is that the "experts" don't really have a clue who is going where! And by experts, I mean the people I used to justify my picks... not Fever and I!

The only thing we really messed up on was where the WR's went but then again nobody could have honestly predicted that no WR's would go in round 1. That draft was full of surprises, if you were to have told me that we would draft McKelvin and Hardy on the first day without moving at all, I would have called you insane.

nobody could have honestly predicted that no WR's would go in round 1.

Except the NFL scouts, who were saying for months the WR class wasn't nearly as good as many were thinking.

I read comments from several scouts after the Senior Bowl, saying how teams would be foolish to invest any early picks in WR's. As a group, they looked bad.

Bu internet draft sites said different and of coarse, they know better. :shakeno:
