I wouldn't mind Redden or Richardson on this Sabres team next year Redden always kills us, dump Kalinin and sign Redden/Richardson. Lindy said in the teams State of the Season press conference last week that the Sabres once they get up by 2 or 3 goals they're going to shut it down and go into defence mode this upcoming season and to that you need a shut down defenceman and Redden or Richardson are those type of defenceman. So looking at the Defence you have Weber & Sekera who will be with the Sabres next year, Talinder & Lydman, Redden/richardson Spacek

Not that it makes it any more acceptable, but this job done by the Senators this season is just about as bad as the Sabres. They were in the Cup last year, started out like 15-2 or something like that, and completely fell apart.

Just as bad as the Sabres last year? I beg to differ. Sabres did a LOT better than the Sens this year. They finished off the season as President Cup winners, Sens were lucky to miss the playoffs. Sabres made it to the ECF, Sens didn't even win a playoff game. Sens did a lot worse.

I think you confused what I said.

I meant, the Sabres went from ECF to no playoffs and the Sens pretty much matched that. They were cup finalists and even though they did make the playoffs, the collapse they had was probably worse.

I do wish the Sabres made the playoffs but near the end it was kind of like, ok, just miss it because I don't feel like seeing them get swept out. That feeling has to suck.
