All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
The Bills have the need for a big receiver opposite Lee Evans, and Thomas has emerged as the guy whose value is deemed suitable for this high draft slot. Buffalo also could address its cornerback position, and with McKelvin gone, the Bills would likely be choosing between South Florida's Mike Jenkins or Kansas's Aqib Talib.
I have been saying it right along Devin THomas at 11, i hope we get this kid, i think he will be something special opposite Lee, he has great YAC ability something we havent seen here since Moulds
The only thing that really worries me about Thomas is that he had one good year in college. I'd hate to think that we are wasting an 11th overall pick on a one year wonder.
Then again, his name is Devin so I guess I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

He wasn't a one year wonder in college though. He was never given a chance with the previous coach I think if I remember correctly (remember he was in junior college for two years). The next coach came in, gave Thomas a chance, and he flourished.

I really don't know a whole lot about him. I heard about the junior college thing for two years and then he came in and did good. That is the reason he was called a one year wonder. I'm still not completely up to speed with NCAA football. My brain can only hold so much information.
I think all these mock's would be accurate if the bills were actually locked into #11... however I believe we will be making some draft day deals and moving around.
He isn't that excited about drafting Devin Thomas at #11.
He is happier with the "reach" of Whitner at 8 than the "reach" of Thomas at 11.
Was Whitner the best SS after Huff? Yes. Look who was taken after him and when. He was going at #13 no matter what and we didn't have a starting SS on the roster. Two years later and it's still the right pick although not popular.
Thomas is by no means a consesus pick as the #1 WR in the draft so it's certainly a much different situation.
Nobody complained that Lynch wasn't the 2nd best RB in the draft when we took him.
You feel that positive that Thomas is the best WR in the draft?

So how is Harvey who isn't the best DE in this draft gonna come in and make an impact right away?
