The Jaguars are trying to cut his pay and spent $6 million in bonus money to sign his replacement, but Tony Brackens still wants to finish his NFL career in Jacksonville.
Although Chicago and Philadelphia have expressed interest if he is cut after June 1, Brackens said he is even willing to back up Pro Bowl right end Hugh Douglas if that means staying in Jacksonville.
"I could back up Hugh, play left end or switch in and out," Brackens said. "I've played all the [line] positions before, so it doesn't matter."
