Tebucky Jones is formally gone and the Patriots' draft purse is flush with extra picks. Now the question is what the Pats will do with them.
There are still 11 days until the start of the draft, but signs continue to point to the Pats using those picks as ammunition in an attempt to trade up in the first round, presumably to nab one of the top defensive tackles on the board.
According to several sources, the Pats have shown strong interest in Penn State's Jimmy Kennedy and Kentucky's Dewayne Robertson, both of whom are thought to be certain top 10 selections. The Pats own two first-round picks (Nos. 14 and 19) and have plenty of trading power with 11 additional picks, including seven selections in rounds 2-5.
