    Draft chatter picking up...

OK, here is some interesting info which allows us to move back into the first like we have seen in the past, read on....

The Bills are looking likely to draft the best cornerback (DRC IMO) available. (Buffalo news).

Are the Eagles looking to trade up for Virginia OL Branden Albert?(Delco times).
    -Could be there at 11...

In three years as Packers General Manager, Ted Thompson has traded draft picks nine times, always moving down in the draft. (JS online).

Seahawks G.M. Tim Ruskell said there’s a good chance the team will trade down from the 25th pick. (The News tribune).

OK let say we trade down with Philly for the #19 and #51.

With that trade down we have 2 options to get back into the 1st round,

    1) Seattle at #25. Pick 25 is worth 720 which is exactly what our pick #41 (our 2nd ) and #72 (our 3rd). Giving us...

    #19
    #25
    #51

    2) Green Bay at #30, pick #30 is worth 690 which just so happens to be exactly what #51 (Phillys 2nd) and #72 (our 3rd) is worth... Giving us...

    #19
    #30
    #41

Second option, more picks in quicker succession. Wouldn't we get more than #51 for moving back to #19 from #11?

Question about him (And I am sure you have answered it - I am too lazy to search).

My concern with him is that he has not always played up to his "measurables" (I hate measurables). Is that concerning to you at all?

Swap firsts with Philly and take Lito Sheppard off their hands and still draft Sweed.

What do you mean exactly? I mean there are concerns with his size (frame wise) and tackling ability but those can be taught and he has always played above his competition level, being the best player in FCS last year and the best player at the Senior Bowl, arguably. Maybe Im missing your question though?

I have read in more than one place, that he sometimes struggled in games. Is that inaccurate?

DRC is a waste of a pick at 11. Our pressing need isnt corner, I'd rather take a DT, DE at that spot. Insurance for Stroud, and we need insurance for underacheivers in Schobel and Kelsay. Plus Schobel is getting up there in age, we need to start grooming some impact players there. And we all know how they like to rotate the ends, keep them fresh. In my opinion, they rotate them a bit too much...Schobel and Kelsay should be out there 90% of the time.

I havent seen reports of this and the fact that in his career he had more interceptions then he did touchdowns allowed I think speaks volumes to that point. I do think he will be susceptible at first to the more physical WR's in the league. He needs to add weight but at his height he has the ideal frame for that. If he can become a more physical corner (and I think he can) he could be one of the best in the league, based on his potential.

Harvey with the 11th, move back into the late 1st round for our WR.

Take it with a grain of salt, but in King's MMQB on SI.com, he states that Branden Albert is one of those hyped-up draft guys, and that only a couple months ago he was just a solid prospect. I find myself wary of guys that shoot up online draft boards like he did.

I am instituting a gag and no read order on anything draft related this week.
This is the advanced GM BS period.
