8. I think I love the perspective of Chris Long. Asked him the other day when he was on Sirius whether it would bother him if he sank like a stone in the first round of the draft and got a contract with, say, $10 million less in guarantees than he'd have gotten in one of the very top slots. "Twelve million, $25 million ... I can't spend that kind of money, whatever it is, in three lifetimes, never mind one," he said. "I just want to play football.''

He's a great story but if his father wasn't Howie Long, would he be getting as much hype as he is?

Its not like he grew up poor, money really isnt the issue in his case, he just wants to be drafted and live up to the hype that he is an ex-players son.

There isn't much not to like about him. The SI article a couple weeks ago was great. However, is there really anyone going into the draft that isn't going to say something along those lines. Is someone really going to say something like that stinks I really am hoping to get as much money as possible? All of those players "just wants to play football".

Dude can flat out play... he has a non-stop motor. His dad's name got him started, but he's done pretty well with it from there.

Likeable guy, but I doubt that he'll come close to the kind of career his father had.
