Boldin told cards he wants to be traded.....

The cards told him no and took the same stance as cincy has with Ocho:

    Boldin's Agent: Drew Rosenhaus

Boldin is scheduled to make $2.5 million this season, $2.75 million next season and $3 million in 2010 -– considerably less than the four-year, $40 million extension that wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald signed with Arizona last month.
For now, Arizona has taken the same stance as Cincinnati has with its disgruntled Pro Bowl wide receiver Chad Johnson, who has the same agent, Drew Rosenhaus, as Boldin. The Cardinals have made it clear they are unwilling to trade Boldin.
General manager Rod Graves said Tuesday night that he views Boldin as one of the franchise's building blocks, a core player, and he is not interested in trading him.

Other teams have inquired about trading for Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin, and his agent has asked if the team would be willing to part with him. On both counts, Cardinals officials had one simple answer: No.

"We're not interested in trading Anquan," General Manager Rod Graves said. "That's the short of it."
The trade talk is more than just rumor, however. Boldin wants a new contract in the neighborhood of Fitzgerald's. Boldin's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, recently asked the team if it would be willing to trade his client, according to Cardinals officials.

The Cardinals said no, nor do they plan to allow Rosenhaus to seek a trade.

"Anquan is a quality person and a great player," Graves said. "We're hoping we can agree on a longer-term deal."

Graves went on to say the trade request is not a new tactic for Rosenhaus. "We have not heard that (trade request) from Anquan," Graves said.

Oh yeah? Everyone has a price.

Personally I think Cincinnati missed the boat big time on Washington's insane offer.

If Washington offers the same deal to the Cards, a 1st this year and a 3rd next year, which could turn into a 1st, I'd jump to sign it. Granted Boldin is younger than Johnson, but you could be looking at 2 1st rounders for an unhappy camper.

For as much money as Boldin gets paid, I definately don't think he is worth the weight. I agree with you though, if Washington offers their 1st this year and a conditional 3rd next year, Arizona really needs to hop on this one.

I'm sorta glad the teams/owners are starting to tell these overpaid brats to more or less go to hell and live up to the contracts they signed. These athletes seem to think they can do whatever the hell they want.

It stems from the door though. These guys are getting pissed at these rediculous rookie contracts and rightfully so. Something needs to be done.

The only reason they make the money they do is because people like us pay for their entertainment. This goes across the board for all entertainment. The general public created this monster and it goes to show what's at top of the things we value in life. Our entertainment takes priority over even our own necessities.
