Re: As per ESPN: Pats Trade Down To # 10 w/NO
If this is true than look for the Pats to screw us over and make a deal with a team that had their eye on the #11 pick before we can. I heard through the scouting ranks that the Pats weren't impressed by any of the big names in the top 10-15 in this years draft.
Can you imagine the Pats picking up multiple 1st and 2nd round picks in this years draft after having their own taking away from them? Clearly they will be looking to send a message to Roger Goodell and the NFL brass and that Pats are far from finished.

Re: As per ESPN: Pats Trade Down To # 10 w/NO
Saints want Sedrick Ellis and had to jump ahead of Cincy to get him.
Pats may want Keith Rivers, but thought that # 7 was too high for him. Or, they will be looking for a CB--possibly McKelvin there. Moving down to # 10 increases the chances that they will take Rivers IMHO.
Cincy could screw up the Pats' plans to pick Rivers, though, by taking Rivers at # 9.Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. And, thus it was that they surrendered their freedom; not with a bang, but without even a whimper.
