Dallas trades Ayodele, Fasano to Miami for fourth-round pick

NFL.com

Looking to get back into the fourth round of this weekend's NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys (http://www.nfl.com/teams/dallascowboys/profile?team=DAL) on Friday traded linebacker Akin Ayodele (http://www.nfl.com/players/akinayodele/profile?id=AYO148317) and tight end Anthony Fasano (http://www.nfl.com/players/anthonyfasano/profile?id=FAS072076) to the Miami Dolphins (http://www.nfl.com/teams/miamidolphins/profile?team=MIA) for a fourth-round pick, reports NFL Network's Adam Schefter.

The Cowboys traded their own fourth-rounder to the Tennessee Titans (http://www.nfl.com/teams/tennesseetitans/profile?team=TEN) earlier in the week to acquire cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones.
Ayodele, who was Dallas' starting weakside inside linebacker for the past two years, lost his job when the Cowboys acquired seven-time Pro Bowl linebacker Zack Thomas in free agency.

Average players at best for an average pick.

Both could be starters in Miami....if so, it would be a nice trade. Hard to call Fasano average when he hasn't had a chance behind Whitten. Op needs to give his ND opinion of him

I don't know...don't seem to be much of an upgrade over what you guys already have. If they are your starters, then I would be worried. However, you guys are tearing that thing apart and building from the ground up, so who knows.

We have no TE currently so it should be an upgrade. I don't know much about the LB except that he was a starter for the Boys

Love this deal for Miami...I think Fasano could be a real player in this league. Dallas gave up on him way too easily.

Fasano was great at ND- much better than Carlson, and Carlson was pretty damn good. He's not Antonio Gates, but he can get down the seem for 20-30 yard plays and he's great in the red zone.

And like you said, he was behind Whitten and basically had no chance in Dallas.

I think he's got a decent shot and is well worth the risk for a 4th rounder.

Two starters for one pick is pretty good deal.
