How much time do you think Parcells and the Fins will take off of the clock before Long becomes the official first pick in the draft? Will they announce it right away, or let the 'drama' play out for the entire ten minutes? Maybe make a phone call or two regarding a trade?

I'm guessing 7 minutes, thirty seconds before Goodell steps up to the mike.

I don't get this... They signed there player already, why would they have any clock time?

What possible reason would the NFL have for letting the Dolphins have 10 minutes.

They'll take the 10 minutes to see if there's any trade offers for Long.

Hell... Who knows... They may have a trade partner already! There's a lot to be said for a #1 pick who's already under contract.
