They premataure ejaculate every year. If they were bound and determined to take a CB and Mckelvin in particular, why not take the trade that KC put on the table? Mckelvin was going to be there at 17. Thwy would still have gotten "their" guy, and added another quality pick (not to mention pay Mckelvin a little less). Stupid. Donte Whitner, Mcargo (T)redux.

One thing is for sure...

If this defense isn't top 10 this year, Dick Jauron and Perry Fewell better be shown the ****ing door.

The defense will be good, but it will take some time to gell. Remember that you have a new guy starting at DT and at WLB--and those guys will take time to get used to playing with the guys around them. And, Poz will still be learning at MLB.

And, it is unrealistic to expect that a rookie is going to step in and start at CB from Day One, no matter how good he may eventually be. It will take until about mid-season, if the Bills are lucky, before McKelvin is ready to take over a starting job.

However, in the second half of the season this defense could become very good...very good. Top 10 quality at that point in the season, even if the stats don't show it because of a slower start.

Our dime defense should be top notch though. FA pickup, #1 drafted corner, and two starters with experience.

"Best" available...let's wait to see if he turns out to be the best of the class. He needs some height.

How do you figure that DRC is better then McK? The guy played in D-II for christ sake. I dont have a big problem with D-II players, but you cant justify that by him being a workout warrior.

If there is a defense that is constructed to help a corner ease into the position by starting, it's the T2...he's going to have to beat out Greer or McGee, though, and I don't think he can do that right away.

Schobel better pick it up this year. With Stroud on the team and McCargo getting more time, we better have a better pass rush. If we don't, it doesn't matter how good our corners are, our defense will be bad.

Premature ejaculate? Are you serious? We had some balls of steel being patient enough to wait till 41 to get our WR rather than getting scared and trading up.
