If Martellus Bennet's there, he's the man. .

Second on that, but Rucker if he's gone.

I wouldn't mind another WR either......namely, Bubba Caldwell

Bennett is nice, Rucker maybe, wouldn't say no to Brad Cottram,

but I suspect we will look to find a Kevin Boss type guy lower in the draft

I don't think any of the TE's that are left are that good but we could possibly still get Sweed

I hope we don't take a TE till the 6th or 7th... It's a fact not opinion that we are not a above average team & we have holes to fill.. As usual, TE is a luxery pick.. I seriously doubt that any rookie left available is a upgrade over Robert Royal...Maybe nextyear we can afford to draft a day 1 TE, but that'sonly if we are in a position to afford that... NE took two 1st round TE's in Watson & Graham because they we're in a position to blow away a pick...It is clear to me as day... It's laughable to think that TE is a missing piece of our puzzle over more skilled positions...

if we can't get Bennet by moving up into the 2nd or staying in the 3rd and hoping he falls, I wouldn't take a TE until the 5th round or later.

As I post, Bennett's gone. The next TE's available, not necessarily in order of draft board position, are Rucker, Jermichael Finley and Kellen Davis. After that you're looking at guys like Gary Barnridge, Gary Stevens, Darrel Strong and other late round picks. One guy who hasn't been talked about much is Chris Hopkins.

Wait till the 4th or 5th for a TE, alot of good names left on the board still.

I think Dan Connor maybe our next pick if he is there still

We might try to draft a safety to push Whitner over to FS yet. I'd like a DE, and if not that, a TE in Rucker.

Of all the TEs left I like Rucker the most, but he could still be there in the 4th. Plus at this point he wouldn't be an upgrade for us as much as a Dan Connor would. There are a lot of better values still out there in the 3rd. I think our coaches see something in Teyo Johnson and Courtney Anderson, two big dudes.

Tight Ends left include

Martin Rucker
Brad Cottam
Jermichael Finlay
Jacob Tamme
Kellen Davis
Gary Barnidge
Craig Stevens

and then there are the likes of

Joe Jon Finlay
Joey Haynos
Tom Santi
Jonathan Stupar

Basically only Cottam and Rucker have R3 value and there may well be better players available at No72 so BPA

Rucker is the best TE left.

Tom Santi of Virginia might be a good multi-purpose selection and could be a surprise like Boss. He does everything well not great and has ok size at 6ft4, 250lbs and running a 4.72. A good route runner and blocker who won't stretch the field but we have Evans/Hardy for that. Not flashy but gets the job done. At least a No2 behind Royal.

'He's not Heath Miller, another Virginia product, but he's a good athlete who produced for four years and had a nice senior season despite playing in a non-passing offense. He's not afraid to go over the middle and will keep the chains moving. Fast enough, he will find ways to get open. While he's not a special talent, there's no downside and he could serve as a serviceable 10-year pro who goes to work, gets the job done and flies under the radar.' MSN Foxsports
