With the Bills picking ninth in the third round, here's my top 5 targets for that pick:

1. Chris Ellis, DE Va Tech
2. Mike McGlynn, OL Pitt
3. Cliff Avril, DE Purdue
4. Martin Rucker, TE Iowas
5. Brad Cottam, TE Tenn

Ellis and Avril both could come in and push Denney for playing time. McGlynn is versatile and can play anywhere on the line, I think he was Pitt's long snapper last year too. I'm not thrilled about Rucker or Cottam, however they are the two best athletes left at TE and both do have potential.

I think you get the next best receiving TE on the board. Rucker or Finley are two good receiving threats from the TE spot.

I'm not enamored enough with any of the TEs to rank them over Dan Connor, regardless of need. If he's there at 72, handle business.

I was going to put Connor on there, however I really don't think he's fast enough for what the Bills want to do on Defense.

What round do we consider a FB? FB w/ recieving skills is a must.. More-so than paving the way like Gash did..
--Gash = NO
-Larry Centers = YES

Receiving fullbacks are a surefire way to kill an offense, because they don't get out of the backfield. That's why Larry Centers spent his entire career on losing teams, and part of the reason our offense went nowhere in 2001.

When it comes to DE, I think there is very little left. This is a position we should wait until next years draft or free agency to address when we can target a top pick. There are much better BPAs available at other positions. If we do add depth at DE then someone like Martail Burnett,

or Wallace Gilberry

offer some upside in the 6th or 7th rounds

Now in the fourth round I'd love to get the best TE on the board or Mike McGlynn.

Hey I'm rarely ever right. The once or twice a year that I am, I like to tell everyone about it. I'll update my next top 5 after the 100th or so pick with the Bills picking around 112 I think.
