I didn't see one started already, so I decided to get things going.

I'm psyched about the Bills' first two picks and can't wait to see how things go from here. Should be interesting with the players that are still on the board!

TE, C, D-line, and FB, please and thank you.

And another receiver and corner, if possible.

I can't wait to see what Miami does with the 1st pick on day two. I would be really happy if they stay put and do a BPA, or if they trade it for more picks, since some teams may scramble to pick some day 2 people that may have projected to go day one.

The price for trading up at this point in the draft is stiff. Detroit had to give up a 4th in next year's draft to move up to Dallas' spot.

No wonder the Bills have been sitting still. They don't want to mortgage the future and a 6th or 7th round pick isn't enough to get a deal done

He was one of the few centers that projects to be able to hold up inside against DTs. Maybe not right now, but has the frame to be about 310 pounds in a couple of years. Not much left at center. I do like TE Kellen Davis at Michigan State. I think he's a good pick if he's still there at 114.

Michael82

Here's what NFL.com says about him....

Analysis
Positives: Compactly built athlete with good, lean muscle definition...Stays tight with receivers on deep routes and has good play development recognition skills...Has a good feel for the ball, maintaining eye contact on the receiver while tracking the ball in flight...Keeps a tight relationship with the receiver in the open and can cover ground with his closing burst...Shows good knee bend and a smooth, easy turning motion coming out of his backpedal...Takes good angles towards the ball and makes proper body adjustments turning and flexing for the pass, demonstrating natural hands and above average timing to high point the ball...Shows fluid hip turn and quick feet coming out of his backpedal... Makes proper zone adjustments and anticipates the quarterback's moves well, as he can handle the switch-off effortlessly...Has the hip snap and body control to position himself before delivering the hit...Has the burst to recover on deep routes...Gets a sharp break on the ball and is flexible in his hip turn and compensates for a lack of ideal height with good quickness and ball anticipation skills...Stays low in his pads and extends his arms to wrap and secure as a tackle (lacks strength behind his hits, though)...Shows natural hands, extending and plucking the ball away from the body's framework...Has the field vision to keep track of the ball in flight.

Negatives: Size is a big drawback, but he compensates with good aggression and the timing to go up and snatch the ball out of the receiver's hands...Lacks ideal power for run support, but even though he is willing to face up, he does not have the strong anchor to prevent ballcarriers from running through his arm tackles...Sometimes gets a little too aggressive, causing him to over-pursue, but shows the recovery quickness needed to get back into the play...Gets so pass theft conscious that he will play the ball a little too much, tending to lose sight of the receiver at times...Reaches back on his heels sometimes when turning in his backpedal...Has to show better shadow ability when handling the receiver, but flashes quickness to recover...Needs to become more physical with the receivers in press coverage.

Compares To: TIM JENNINGS-Indianapolis...Corner won't ever be confused for a Charles Woodson when it comes to taking on running backs, but he does provide great value in a sub package because of his natural hands and ability to get to the ball in flight. His best asset is his ball skills, as he times his leaps well to ride up on a receiver to deflect or pick the ball off. His size is a big drawback and will probably keep him out of the starting lineup, but few cornerbacks have the ability to reach and pluck the ball like he does.

Here's what I'm thinking. The Bills have been accused of sticking to close to their list of needs, but I think it can be argued that center and tight end are higher on their list of needs than a second CB. It hink it is a case Buffalo believing they have uncovered a gem that others have overlooked. Corner is not terribly speedy, but he's fast enough. CouchScout.com, the only place where I could find numbers on him says he runs a 4.52 40. He had a pro day, but I don't know if 4.52 represents his pro day numbers or somebody's guess. He's not terribly big, but he obviously has a nose for the interception. I'm not defending the pick, just saying that sometimes a team's personnel department has entirely different ideas about a player's value than the consensus on the street. Sometimes it makes them look like fools, and sometimes they look like geniuses. Only time will tell which is the case with corner.

I don't think Ashton Youboty is automatically out. The Bills have already dumped several CBs before picking up Will James, and drafting McKelvin and Corner. I think the only holdovers were Youboty, Greer and McGee. I expect the Bills will probably carry five CBs. It does put Youboty on notice that he's got competition and better perform, or he could be out come September.

H Back:

Strengths: Hybrid capable of lining up at both the tight end and fullback position. Quick off the ball and able to avoid contact working against press coverage. Does a good job of selling the run and gets into the flats quickly off play action. Smooth, runs clean routes and is at best getting open underneath. Has a wide frame and does a nice job of using his body to shield defenders from the ball. Possesses an understanding of how to attack defenders and set up breaks. Appears to read defenses well and does a nice job of finding open areas working against zone coverage. Gives great effort as an in-line blocker and is relentless once in position. Takes sound angles to blocks, flashes the ability to adjust to the moving target in space and can get into position at the second level. Is as effective lead blocking from the backfield as he is lined up at tight end and is somewhat versatile.

Weaknesses: Lacks top-end speed and isn't going to stretch the middle of the field. Lacks the overall strength to consistently sustain blocks, loses balance at times and is seen on the ground a lot. Does not have great body control and struggles to adjust to passes thrown outside frame.

Overall: Fine signed with Kansas in 2002 but didn't enroll because of an injury. After redshirting the 2003 season, he played in all 35 of the Jayhawks' games (19 starts) over the next three years (2004-06'), collecting 52 receptions for 615 yards (11.8 average) and six touchdowns. Fine played in all 13 games (10 starts) as a senior, hauling in 46 catches for 394 yards (8.6 average) and four touchdowns. He also was a productive contributor on special teams coverage units during his career (11 tackles, 10 assists). Bottom line: Fine is versatile enough to provide depth for a team that likes to use H-Backs but he doesn't have prototypical speed or power so he projects as a seventh round pick.
