I'm going to have some thoughts later on today more in depth and hopefully will make some sense. I like McKelvin and Hardy as picks, didn't see McKelvin being available.

Anway.. The one thing I wish we did that we didnt is trade back up into the later 2nd round for a TE. Davis and Bennett were both there for the taking. I'm shocked we didnt get after one of them.

Looks like if we take a TE at this point it will be yet another project player. When will this team (ever?) start to value a good pass catching TE?

I think that

1) We need a multi-purpose TE - not just a big heavy slow WR
2) We then need to use that TE effectively

There are still some decent TEs available!

Finley is the only one left I like.

I don't think that any of the tight ends left on the board offer that much more as a receiver than Derek Schouman.

At this point, I doubt any of them will be an improvement over Royal or any of the other crap we have now

I'll take Davis or Rucker if they are still available.

Yeah it would be nice if we could get a stud pass catching TE. But was this the year for one? There weren't any Tony Gonzalez', Todd heap, Dalls Clark type guys that screamed studly.

Who knows maybe we'll get lucky late.

Since the pick of Ruben Brown this team has drafted almost as many TE as they have OL. There is only one TE on the field as opposed to 5 OL. That speaks volumes.
