That's why I am not upset with these picks. People look at the metrics and what they see on TV and they don't see the underlying capabilities of these players. It's the Kiperization of everything.

This team places WAAAYYYYY too much emphasis on ST. How about trying to make your offense better, so that you can score more points and actually move the ball?

There were players on the board who would have made much more sense. Also, I would be Ok with drafting offense...we need more players on that side of the ball, since we did nothing in FA to address it. Hell, I would have been happy for them to package picks to move up and get more starting caliber players in the 3rd round. Don't just sit there and draft to fill ST...that's moronic.

If you can't win with the best ST, does it really matter? ST are a compliment to the offense and defense...they should not be the focus of a draft from the 4th round on. You should be looking for players to play...

If the mindset at this point really is drafting for ST's (and I don't agree that it is) then it's a big mistake. Draft for starters, draft for depth, and let the special teams squads sort themselves out during training camp.

The ST was really bad last year. Even Moorman took a hit. The only one who did really well was Lindell.

Unfortunately, I don't see a long snapper in the bunch. Ryan Neill showed that he can't cut it at this point.
