Buffalo Bills draft grade B-

We got the job done, adressed every needed position.

1. Leodis Mcklevin- Best corner in the draft and is for sure going to be our number 1 corner that we needed for a while now. Another element to his game is that when the ball is in his hands hes going to the endzone, and we will see it a lot this season.

2. James Hardy- My overall favorite WR in this draft, the best compliment to Lee Evans. He's tall, catch the ball with defenders on him, pretty fast for a 6'6 wide reciever and an automatic threat in the endzone, for sure our #2 wideout this year.

3. Chris Ellis- Don't know much about him, but if Bruce Smith told the Bills to take a look at him, I would believe him to.

Honestly, this was a very boring draft for a Bills fan besides on the first day. We had 2 awesome picks and I was thinking tomorrow could be jsut as good, maybe even better..but If you look at the draft from a "team needs" perspective we couldn't have done better.

Starting Cornerback/Kick Return specialist.
Starting #2 wide reciever
Pass Rusher/depth
Very Athletic Linebacker/depth/ST
Runningback depth
Filled special teams losses
OL depthPeople need to realize that Special Teams is one of our most important parts to our team more than any other team in the league. On the boards so many people were *****ing about why we were taking these players and how we have a ****ty FO/team etc. Ithink our special teams will be even better then in years past.

I give our selves a B- because we did address every team need, but we missed out on a tight end and I think we selected too many ST players, but we needed them all.

Nice post, I agree also in general.

I have to admit, though, I'm tiring of the 'we need special teamers' viewpoint. They weren't that great last year, anyway, and I don't want to re-fill the roster with ST guys who only have to have a position placed next to their name so their aren't blank spots in the roster section of the game program.

Give me guys who bring real value to their positions as back-ups, and let them get their hits on ST's while they are riding the pine waiting to spell the starters.

Priority #1 = can you play the position when needed.
Priority #2 = can you play ST's.
