Agreed Sal. I would have glady given a 3rd to choose between the top WRs and it was a coup to able to do that without trading up.

clearly they wanted to move up to get a WR (as none had been chosen then). i think it was devin thomas, but i'll take hardy and ellis over thomas even tho i think DT will be really good.

*the Giants did in fact beat the Patriots in the Superbowl, but because the Patriots were caught cheating the NFL mad them forfeit their pick.*I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Re: Reese Swats Bills' Trade Bid
I guess I aim this primarily at Coach Sal but do you think Hardy was the first choice for the Bills? Were they moving up to take him or were they thinking they wanted M. Kelly, D Thomas or D Jackson? Just curious on what people think.

Plus, the Bills history suggests that they usually choose players with decent careers vs. guys with one terrific year.Buffalo Bills Now! and NFL Now! podcasts

i hear you on this, but i just think devin is an eric moulds type of guy.
both are good, hell i was thinking we trade down to 19 for lito shep and then get thomas!!! so as far as that goes i think we cleaned up!
