This doesn't sound good for Harrison:

The source said the alleged victim came into the bar, Playmakers, around 5 p.m. and engaged in an argument with Harrison, who was at the bar. The victim then left the bar, heading to his car, with Harrison following. Gunfire broke out, the victim was hit in the hand, and a young girl was slightly injured by flying glass from a car that apparently was hit by a bullet.

Police came to scene, but the victim did not identify a shooter. On Wednesday, according to the source, ballistic tests showed that the gun that had fired the shots was a custom-made Belgian weapon, and police determined that Harrison owned such a gun.

Police then went to a Philadelphia car wash owned by Harrison to question him about the gun. Harrison admitted owning such a weapon, but claimed it never left his suburban Philadelphia home.

However, the source said the gun was discovered in a bucket at the car wash, and tests showed that it had fired seven bullets that matched those found at the scene.

The source said police were contacted Friday by an attorney representing a second alleged victim in the shooting, and police are now waiting for that individual to come forward.

Wow, he would be probably one of the last pro athletes that I would think of to be involved in a shooting. Sounds kinda bad for him.

This is about as shocking as off-season news gets but it depends on who you listen to.

I just saw an interview with the police who are doing the interviews and they made it seem like he is just being questions.

Then I saw an interview with a Philly radio guy who really made it sounds like Marvin was involved in this.

The story is becoming clearer, with this article having most of the details (http://www.philly.com/philly/hp/news_update/20080503_NFL_star_s_gun_linked_to_N__Philly_shooting.html).

This much seems to be true:

- The guy had a beef with Harrison after getting kicked out of his bar
- They argued and fought the day of the shooting
- There was a shooting, and the guy was shot in the hand and a kid suffered a cut under his eye from broken glass
- The guy refuses to say who shot him. He initially claimed he was shot while driving on the highway, but eventually admitted to getting shot in North Philly
- The cops interviewed Harrison for several hours, and he voluntarily turned over the Belgian gun (which shoots armor-piercing rounds) to the police. This is the weapon that fired the shots, and Harrison owns it
- Harrison denies being the shooter
- There are no witnesses who identify the shooter

Those seem to be the facts. It is a strange situation and Harrison would appear complicit in some way, although it is hard to say exactly what happened. The police seems stuck, since they have no witnesses who will say what happened (including the guy shot in the hand).

Seems pretty obvious. The only real question is, "is the DA going to pursue it if the victim doesn't want it pursued?"

Should've aimed for his head. Things are a lot less messy when there's only one side of a story to be told.

Wonder how Sheriff Goddell handles this news story (http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/05/03/more-details-on-harrison-incident/)? Harrison has a good guy reputation but apparently has had two previous incidents. He was sued for attacking three kids wanting his autograph (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2025485) at the Pro Bowl three years ago and also knocked down a Jets ball boy (http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9E07EEDD173EF936A35752C0A9659C8B63) five years ago; in both cases he had his hands around the kid's necks. Since Goodell instituted the stricter player conduct policies (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/2007-04-10-pacman-henry-suspensions_N.htm) a year ago, Gene Upshaw and the player's association wanted to make sure there was consistency (http://www.boston.com/sports/articles/2007/03/29/goodell_tackles_player_conduct/) with all players on all 32 teams. Even though nobody was killed, the two year old is okay, and the victim is clamming up, the initial story (http://www.philly.com/philly/hp/news_update/20080503_NFL_star_s_gun_linked_to_N__Philly_shooting.html) has got to be very damaging to Harrison's chances of avoiding some type of suspension.

Any gun used in a crime there, comes with an automatic misdemeanor charge to the gun's owner, whether he did it or not. He's in trouble.
