Westbrook went on to address his contract situation -- a five-year, $24.9 million extension signed in 2005 -- and whether he feels he has out-performed that deal.
"I'm paid," said Westbrook, who led the NFL with 2,104 yards from scrimmage last season. "I signed a contract that was fair at that (time), so there's no sense in me crying about it now."

What a breath of fresh air ... a player who actually intends to honor his contract. :bf1:

I am glad to see a player step up and honor his contract that he signed. It goes both ways though. Forever player that holds out or complains about a new contract, there is a team that is cutting a player with a year or two left on his contract. The NFL has issues and needs to move towards gauranteed contracts like baseball.

I'll take the NFL's 'issues' over MLB's any day.

Players get their guaranteed money in bonuses, where the real money is. Whether teams keep them is, and should be, performance-based.

That's really great to see. I've always liked Westbrook, the little guy from Villanova?
