More than 150 Troy faithful went out to support the No. 11 NFL Draft pick of the Buffalo Bills, otherwise known as Leodis McKelvin, Monday night.

McKelvin was at the Santa Fe Cattle Co. signing autographs from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and he said it was all he could do to support a town that has been so good to him.

"This is great," McKelvin said. "This is my way to give back to the Troy community that has been so great to me during my time here. Troy gave me a scholarship to play football and the people here will always be on my mind."

"I can't wait to get to training camp," he said. "It will be a lot of hard work, but I know it will be great to be up there with all the veterans."

I think this is probably more how it sounded...

Why?

Because he has an accent?

The guy is not dumb.

How many of us graduated college on time while playing sports full time?

Too many people are putting way too much stock into McKelvin's public speaking skills.

Dude, drop the accent excuse. His accent isn't the problem. I live down here and work with people with heavy accents.

It's his ability to actually produce an answer to a question.

I have several interviews with him as well. He is obviously nervous. When in a more relaxed setting (i.e. on 97 Rock last week) he sounds much better and is pretty fluid.

The guy is not dumb.

apptitude. good.

However, I am a tiny bit concerned after seeing this, not sure if it was posted before but Ellis got a 14 out of 32 and McLovin got only 13....hardy wasnt listed.

i know being students of the game might be more important, but those scores arent exactly stellar.

Nobody cares about the Wonderlic if you perform on the field. Just ask all of the Hall of Famers that scored below 10.

I hope he used a stamp for his autograph . We don't need excuses that he's tired from signing autographs if he doesn't start catching INT's.

Can you name them? I'm not trying to be sarcastic. Just curious.

Dude, great find. Awesome!!!!

I don't think his accent caused him to score a freakin 13. Ouch.

Yes, now I'm officially worried. No wonder the Pats passed on him.

as long as he hits randy moss in the mouth at the line of scrimage and then picks its off for six, thats all that matters...

Those numbers aren't fractions.. they show the test was taken more than once

McKelvin scored a 34 the second time out, so wtf is the problem?
