I realize that this 5 year deal is 1 preseason game and 1 regular season game. does anyone know of any caveat in the event the team were to make the playoffs? Does Toronto have any rights for those games?

I can't imagine any possible way they'd have any right to a playoff game. That's a ton of revenue that would come out of Ralphie's pockets outside of the set deal for the TO games.

The deal is for 8 games over 5 years. 3 pre-season, 5 regular season games. No playoffs. Now could Rogers ask to host a Super Bowl? I don't see why not, other than the small capacity. I think Toronto would be a great Super Bowl site.
