All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.

I was looking up a couple things to find videos of Drury and Briere for that other thread and I got chills from reliving the big moments from the last few years again. It really makes me depressed that I'm not able to go to the HSBC Arena and watch the Buffalo Sabres in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs this year. It was a great run while it lasted and really fun too. I just wish we had another year or two of it. Anyways...here's what I found....
The empty feeling began when the Beast turned down Briere's 5 per year proposal in summer 2006, and they went to arbitration. That was the beginning of the end. I knew then they had one year left. Way too soon. Way too soon.

I agree. Usually when you decide to go for it all and you have a team built like this, you don't give up that early. But, we did.

oh man, that's another good one too. I still feel that was their best shot to take it all. When they got injured and lost defensemen left and right in 2006, I knew it was over. It was sad too, because we had the hottest team at that point and would have most likely won the cup too.
