Holy Crap! Typical Bill update

I just found out that our good buddy from Kuwait, has only ever watched 3 Buffalo Bills games EVER!!!

The Bills games Typical Bill has watched, are Super Bowl XXVII, The Music City Miracle, and the stupid Niners game in 2001.

He gets 3 games a week, and has only had ESPN for the past little bit. He has been inundated with Dolphins, and Patriots far too much. No wonder he hates them more than us.

This season coming up, he now has FOX, and CBS and will be able to watch a heck of a lot more games.

We feel your pain TB.

Yes he can watch ANY video format.

I sent him most of JJ's highlight clips,and he is now downloading the rest from the site.

And he is as happy as the proverbial pig.

OK- we should hold a Telethon for the poor guy.

I can make him a DVDs of the Miami Bills snow game last season, a copy of the Comeback on DVD as well. (I watched them both on the plane back from Chicago)

The only DVD game I have is the comeback game, and I can't find any SB tapes. They are buried in the basement somewhere.

One problem guys....mail is not being accepted to Kuwait right now. I tried to send a package and it was rejected because they are not accepting flights in and out of Kuwait at the moment. I am also sending a package to TB and will be willing to send videos or DVDs to him if any of you want me too. :D

You don't need a different player, you need the proper codec (encoder-decoder) to decode the movie format... Once the codec is installed, WindowsMediaPlayer will handle them just fine...

I usually recommend this codec 'pack' - it should contain everything you need..

This will severely cut down my download times as avi files seem to come a lot smaller than mpegs :D

You're right - 99% of the avi's you find today are encoded in some variation of MPEG-4 (DivX 3, 4, 5, XVid..) and take up roughly half the space of MPEG-1 or 2 at the same bitrate/quality.

That pack also has a bunch of audio codecs in it as well.. its good to have.
