    Over/Under on wins

Since 1995, Covers is the leading source for sports betting odds and data-driven analysis, providing expert picks and predictions for professional and college sports.

Buffalo isn’t getting much love from oddsmakers, as they have them down for another seven to eight win season. I get the feeling that they could thrive in the top heavy AFC East. For that reason I’m looking to go over 7.5 wins, and hoping to get reduced juice at 8 at some point prior to the season kicking off.

I was going to say 8. That's fair.

8 is definitely fair, 9 is realistic, 10 is within reach... 11 would be the ideal. Any more than that and I think we'd all be pretty surprised. Happy, but surprised.

            Re: Over/Under on wins

I think 7.5 is a low number given the schedule and additions.

Given that the Bills managed to win 7 games last season, beating all of the lower tier teams on their schedule, despite all of the injuries, I would say, if a lot of things go bad, I would make 6 wins the floor for what they could do this season--because they will play hard every game.

I see 9 wins being very reachable with their schedule, even if some of the teams they play are improved.

If things go right and as they should, 10 wins are possible. But, I think the absolute ceiling, even if everything goes extremely well for them this season, would be 11 wins. If they do any better than that, I will be more than very pleasantly surprised.

But, given that 8 wins would be sufficient to win an "over" bet, I like their odds to at least do that well this season and would take the "over".
Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. And, thus it was that they surrendered their freedom; not with a bang, but without even a whimper.

              I think we'll win 10.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

They beat the over last year (it was 6.) I'd take the over again.

Really? What about your QB who tossed more Int's then TD's and had a losing record? Does that position suddenly become a strength as you use the opposite logic when you evalute the up coming season? Seems to me there doesn't seem to be any consistency when you evaluate your teams 08 season. Basically your weaknesses will become strengths and your strengths will reamin strengths. Using this logic why not just hand the Bills the SB trophy and avoid wasting everyones time??

How about addressing the actual post, instead of making up your own info to respond to. Nowhere in LTBF's post did he even refer to the QB, or any strengths and weaknesses of the team.

                            Over.

The team has lost nothing valuable, and even if some of newcomers make an impact, or some of the young players improve, then it's still a better team and possibly a much better team.
For the team to remain stagnant or take a step back, that would mean none of the newcomers help and none of the young players improve. What are the odds of that? Logic and probability are on the Bills' side.

I think I did respond the the thread. In order to give your over/under it has to be based on an evaluation, does it not? Why don't you stop crying because not everyone see's the Bills as an imporvement?!
