A comedy based on the 1987 professional football players' strike.

but If the NFL doesn't get a labor Agreement hammered out could everything in that happened in the movie come true? :feedback:

The NFL already used replacement players in the 80s so the movie was based on true events.

I really don't think that the players or owners are stupid enough to let it happen.

You'd be surprised.

A bunch of Millionaires and Billionaires can't come to an agreement on splitting up the multi-billion dollar annual pot. Most of us are trying to figure out how to put gas in our cars and they're pissing and moaning over who gets a few extra million. I don't really care that they all make rediculous amounts of money. It does, however, get my goat that they bicker and argue to the point of possible work stoppages over this. Spoiled bastards.

Just look at the way the last set of meetings went. They had years to work on it and it came down to a 45 minutes cram session that ultimately failed. Big shocker there. They've now got 3 years to fix this issue. I'm betting it comes down to another 45 minute cram session.
