Done with football? Here's the new career option!

T.O. pleased with sitcom debut: 'I can act'

Fresh off his first sitcom role, Terrell Owens is ready to take on more television jobs. Just don't look for one of them to be on "Dancing With The Stars."
"They asked me to do that last year and I graciously declined," Owens said. "I don't need to get on national TV to show people I can dance. I do that 16, 17 weeks out of the year. I've been doing it all my career."

Taylor's career may be following The Rock's path

The Rock can smell what Jason Taylor is cooking.

And the scent is coming from Hollywood.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson understands Taylor's struggle as the Miami Dolphins defensive end decides between staying in the NFL or pursuing an acting career.

Johnson left stardom in a form of sports entertainment — professional wrestling — to chase the same dream. With a slew of hit movies and close to nine figures of earnings now under his belt, Johnson knows he followed the right script.

Dolphins seem to be moving on without Taylor

Coach Tony Sparano said Taylor isn't expected to take part in any team activities through training camp. The revelation came less than 24 hours after Taylor finished second to Kristi Yamaguchi in the finals of "Dancing With the Stars" in Los Angeles.

For weeks the new Dolphins regime, led by Parcells, has fumed while Taylor spent his offseason focused on his budding Hollywood career rather than back in South Florida working out with teammates.

Following a voluntary team practice Wednesday — with only Taylor missing — Sparano signaled the Dolphins are ready to move on without their top defender.

Dolphins DE wouldn't be first athlete to overestimate his acting abilities

        OPINION PIECE

Bill Parcells just doesn't get it.

He's mad at Jason Taylor, so mad that it's likely the best player on the woeful Miami Dolphins won't be a Dolphin much longer. So mad that he watched game film instead of watching Taylor in the finals of "Dancing With the Stars.''

Not that he missed a lot. Kristi Yamaguchi had this one wrapped up from her opening tango.

I wish success for Taylor no matter what he does, but I really think his path to success in Hollywood is such an upward battle, it's pratically at a 90 degrees angle

Taylor is nearing the end of a HOF career and is exploring options. I don't blame him for having fun and taking a chance. He's also a natural as a broadcaster so I'm sure he'll be fine down the road.
